I chose for my blog the Attribution licence from Creative Commons to prevent plagiarism of my content while still allowing other people to use my work. I did this for anyone reading my blog to be able to reference or build on topics I may discuss but while also keeping credit from being stolen. I don’t want to completely lock down my blog just because there are a few bad people out there, I think of it as having a deadbolt on a door instead of a barred door; it still does its job, just not as secure as their other licenses.
